Marguerite Elizabeth (Swartz) Feeney Wilkes
Marguerite Elizabeth (Swartz) Feeney Wilkes, age 89, Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014.
She was born on Saturday, September 13, 1924 in Masontown, Pa., the daughter of Mary and John Swartz.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church.
She spent many years working at the Gallatin National Bank in Brownsville, Pa., where she met the man who became her loving husband of 34 years, William Wilkes.
She also worked at the Veteran’s Administration Office in Uniontown during her later years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, William Wilkes; her first husband John Feeney; and four brothers, Wilbur Swartz, Edward Swartz, Robert Swartz, John Swartz Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons: David Feeney and his wife Marianne of Miami Florida, Patrick Feeney and his wife Joanne of Warrington Pennsylvania four grandchildren: Brian, Jill, Kimberly and Elizabeth; and five great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown Pa., on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held. Rev. Father Ronald L. Simboli will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
