Janice L. (Gallatin) Long, age 76, of Orange Springs, Florida and a native of Greene County, Pennsylvania stepped into glory on Thursday, June 12, 2014, with her loving family at her side, following a brief illness.

Born May 30, 1938 in Dunkard Township, Greene County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late W. Wilson Gallatin and Helen (Johnson) Gallatin.

A 1956 graduate of Mapletown High School, she was a longtime member of the Fort McCoy Church of God in Fort McCoy, Florida.

Janice was a loving wife and mother who faithfully served her Lord and Savior, and enjoyed taking care of her family.

Surviving are her devoted husband of 55 years, Daniel Long Sr.; three beloved children: Brenda Long, Bradenton, Florida, Daniel Long Jr. and wife Lori, Benjamin Long and wife Ashley all of Ocala, Florida; and a number of cousins and friends in the Greene County area.

Friends will be received in RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., on Friday 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 21, from 9 until 11 a.m., hour of Service with her sister in-law, Rev. Mary Louise Howard officiating.

Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Taylortown, Pa.
