Donald E. David
Donald E. David, age 80, of Glassport, Pa., died Monday, April 28, 2014.
He was born Thursday, March 15, 1934 in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Joseph David and Mae (Brown) David.
Donald had a way of making friends wherever he went.
He was retired from United States Steel.
Donald was a Barber in both Uniontown and Duquesne.
He was a member of Queen of the Rosary Church where he was active in many church activities, also a member of the PNA and GBU all in Duquesne, Pa.
He served in United States Army and was a member of the American Legion.
Donald was also an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joseph, Robert, John; and sister, Joyce.
He was the beloved husband of June (Danko) David; father of Cindy (Chuck) Guenther of Whitehall, Pa., and Ted (Sandy) David, Glassport grandfather of Stacey (Shawn) Slie, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Megan Guenther of Mount Lebanon, Pa.; great grandfather of Maddox; uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He will also be greatly missed by his many, many friends who are having a drink in his honor.
Friends will be received at the WOJCIECHOWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 640 Vermont Avenue, Glassport, PA 15045 (412.877.6993) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m
Funeral Mass will be said on Saturday, May 3, at 10 a.m. at Queen of the Rosary Church, 530 Michigan Avenue, Glassport, with Reverend Father Casimir Kedzierski as Celebrant.
