Mary Elizabeth (Mallory) Thomas
Mary Elizabeth (Mallory) Thomas, age 92, of Adah, Pa., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 2, 2014 at her home.
She was born Friday, September 2, 1921 in Smithfield, Pa., beloved daughter of Ivan Curtis Mallory and Mary (Longnecker) Mallory.
Mary was a member of the McClellandtown Free Methodist Church.
She especially loved her family and enjoyed reading her Bible.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer ‘Tim’ Thomas; two sons, Elmer Thomas Jr. and Robert Thomas; her grandson, George Bordas and her sisters, Goldie Mallory, Loretta Briskie and Roselma Boone.
She is survived by her children: Mary Margaret Bordas and husband George, Dickerson Run, Pa., Ronald Thomas and wife Clarissa, Shepherd, Texas, Marlene Deal and her husband Donald of Merrittstown, Pa., Dwayne Thomas and his wife Deborah Smock, Pa. Linda Hamm and her husband Leslie of Santa Clarita, California, Paul Thomas and wife Patty of Masontown, Pa., Lois Matis and her husband George of Republic, Pa., Anthony Thomas, Allison Two, Pa., Mark Thomas and his wife Marden of Chalk Hill, Pa., Gary Thomas and his wife June of McClellandtown, Pa.; twenty-eight grand children; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law: Ella Thomas and Kathy Thomas; sister-in-law, Catherine Thomas of Gates, Pa.; special friend and caregiver, Cathy Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., Tuesday May 6, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Visitation will continue in MCCLELLANDTOWN FREE METHODIST CHURCH, 154 Blaine Avenue, McClellandtown PA 15458 on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of Service. Pastor Ginny Eberhart will officiate.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
Mary’s family extends a special thank you to Dr. Sally and Dr. Anderson for many years of wonderful care, OSPTA, Nurse Marci Quarzo and Therapist, Jody Henson, whom she loved dearly.
