Alice (Billetz) Novak
Alice (Billetz) Novak, age 88, of Greensboro, Pa., died at 5:45 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was born on Friday, October 2, 1925 in Monongahela Township, Greene County, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph Billetz and Anna (Reagan) Billetz.
Mrs. Novak resided in Monongahela Township all of her life and was a member of Saint Ignatius of Antioch Parish in Bobtown, Pa.
She served as an Auditor for Monongahela Township and for a short time, worked as a cook at the Penn Pitt Elementary School.
Mrs. Novak enjoyed cooking, knitting, flower gardening, and watching wrestling.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.
Both the Novak and the Billetz families always got together at her home for their family gatherings.
On April 30, 1949, she married Adam A. Novak. He died September 3, 1996.
Surviving are two sons: Jerry A. Novak and his wife Cindy of Mount Morris, Pa. and Jeffrey J. Novak and his wife Vicky at home; granddaughter, Alisa Kay Dolfi of Oxford, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and three sisters-in-law: Martha Billetz of Texas, Mary Brown, Cleveland, Ohio and Millie Novak of Bobtown, Pa.
Deceased are five brothers, John, George, Joseph, Andrew and Steven Billetz; and six sisters, Susan Billetz, Mary Babyak, Veronica Billetz, Julia Mikelinich, Anna Papuga and Catherine Wishinski.
Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME (724.966.5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa., where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014.
A Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Saint Ignatius of Antioch Parish, Bobtown, with Rev. Father Lawrence V. Holpp as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Point Marion, Pa.
A Vigil Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
