Josephine V. (Wahula) Park
Josephine V. (Wahula) Park, age 91, Uniontown, Pa., and formerly of Grays Landing, Pa., died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Uniontown Hospital.
She was born January 18, 1923 in Russelton, Pa., daughter of Joseph Wahula and Kathryn (Sablo) Wahula.
Josephine was member of the Saint Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Parish in Masontown, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank J. Park Sr.; a son, Frank J. Park Jr.; two brothers, Matthew Wahula and Walter Wahula; and four sisters, Mary Caruso, Ann Wahula, Sophie Stys, and Blanche Cope.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ronald J. Park and wife Joann of Uniontown, Pa.; and daughter, Joyce A. Wallace and husband Stevenson of Virginia; grandchildren, David R. Park and wife Jennifer of Uniontown, Pa., Alyssa M. Park-Hutchings, M.D. and husband Tim of Georgia, Adrienne Park of West Virginia, Frank W. Park of Masontown, Pa.; great granddaughter J o c e l y n Park; four sisters: Helen Machesky of Florida, L o r e t t a Auther of Ohio, Wanda Richnavsky of Ohio, and Louise Zelina of Masontown, Pa.; a daughter-in-law Deborah Park of Masontown, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 12 Noon in Saint Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 101 South Washington Street, Masontown, Pa., with Rev. Father William G. Berkey as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery Uniontown, Pa.
Her family has asked that donations in her memory be made to the Fayette Friends of Animals, 223 Village of Searights, Uniontown, PA 15401 or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or American Heart Association, 7829 National Pike, Uniontown PA 15401.
