James Ray Baughman
James Ray Baughman, age 80, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 3, 2014 with family and friends at his side.
James was born on Wednesday, March 7, 1934 in Masontown, Pa., the son of Clifford Baughman Sr. and Elsie (Clark) Baughman.
‘Jim’ retired from Rockwell//Sensus Technologies Incorporated.
He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and detailing vehicles.
‘Jim’ enjoyed having coffee with his friends at Herring’s Restaurant and visiting with friends at Adrian’s.
He was a helper for the Community Action Food Bank since 1994.
He was a member of the Walnut Hill United Methodist Church but attended Hopwood Free Methodist Church with Pastor Charles O’Brien and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ken, Robert, Clifford Jr.; and sister, Dorothy Harbarger.
Left to cherish Jim’s memory are his wife Ruth E. Paull Baughman; sons: Alan Baughman and his wife April, and Tim Baughman and his wife Tina; daughter Cheryl Baughman; grandchildren: Brandie, Angela, A.J. and Shay; great-grandchildren: Rueban, Javier, Ricardo, Alyiese, Destinee, Adoree, Heaven, Mason; greatgreatgranddaughter Haley; and his brother, Earl Baughman.
The family will receive friends at HOPWOOD FREE METHODIST CHURCH, Hopwood, Pa., on Saturday, May 17th, 2014 from 5 until 6 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service celebrating Jim’s life at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Charles O’Brien officiating.
