The Mountain Weatherman: Lots of Rain Today
We cooled down a bit yesterday from our record highs on Tuesday and had enjoyed a nice afternoon, as some heavy storms battered areas just to our north and east The high yesterday was 80, the overnight low 60 and we were 63 degrees at 7AM under cloudy skies. There was .14 inches of rain yesterday. A cold front that has been crawling across the country for the last few days will finally make it through the area by early evening with the rain associated with kit starting before noon here. That rain will continue heavy at times through into this evening and that could produce some flooding in the area. It will feel chilly for the next few days with the NW flow bringing rain showers tomorrow and Saturday. We’ll start to dry out Sunday but the warm up won’t we won’t get back to near normal temperatures until Tuesday.
