Shirley A. (Wellington) Davies
Shirley A. (Wellington) Davies, age 77, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at her home in Merrittstown, Pa., with her loving family at her side.
She was born Friday, July 31, 1936 in Rices Landing, Pa., daughter of Thomas Wellington and Margaret E. (Ellsworth) Wellington.
Shirley was a member of the First Christian Church, Republic, Pa.
Along with her husband Evan, Shirley operated a Dom Care Facility at their home for twenty years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her husband Evan H. Davies; five sons: Barry Davies and wife Saundra of Republic, Pa., Donald Davies and his fiancee Veronica of Cardale, Pa., Gregg Davies and wife Theresa of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Thomas Davies and wife Cheryl of Jensen Beach, Florida, Joseph Davies and wife Bobbi Jo, Uniontown, Pa. thirteen grandchildren; and eleven great grand children; brother, Gilbert Wellington and his wife Beverly of Falls Church, Virginia; a sister, Mary Jane Beaver of North Michigan; nieces: Jeania Miller of Merrittstown, Pa., and Terri Campbell, of Searights, Pa.; and several other nieces and nephews.
At Shirley’s request, her funeral services were private for her family and were under direction of the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion St., Republic, Pa.
