Barbara J. (Keffer) Rush, 64, Connellsville, Pa., went to be with her Lord, her husband, and her father after passing away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, November 2, 2014.

She was born Tuesday, August 1, 1950 in Connellsville, Pa., the only child and daughter of Wilda M. (Little) Keffer of Dawson, Pa., and the now late Donald R. Keffer.

Barb was a kind, loving, friendly, and outgoing woman who loved her family and never met a stranger.

She previously owned and operated Rush Realty.

She enjoyed playing golf, bridge, ping pong, gardening, puzzles, and recently took up crocheting.

She had a special place in her heart for any kind of animal and doted on her dogs, Cuddles and Gizmo.

She aspired to be like her amazing parents, who taught her the importance of faith and commitment to family.

As a mother, Barb couldn’t have been prouder of her daughters Kim and Kris. In their times of need, she was always there, oftentimes their biggest supporter.

Barb loved and adored her grandchildren, Zachary, Ashley, and Remington. She was a perfect grandmother to Zach, doing anything he wanted when they were together; her grand daughter Ashley with her smile and spirit was Barb’s inspiration for both courage and perseverance; and her newest great-grand daughter, Remi, put the sparkle back into her eyes.

In addition to her beloved father, she was predeceased only seven months ago by her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, whom she cherished and adored, Robert M. Rush; and nephews, Scott Semzock of Germany and Ricky Rush of Connellsville, Pa

Barb is survived by her wonderful mother, Wilda M. (Little) Keffer of Dawson; two daughters who are devastated: Kim and husband Marty (daughter Danielle) LaFisca and Kris Azzardi all of Connellsville; her beloved grandson, Zach and his wife Kayley Blackstone, Connellsville her very special and most cherished grand daughter, Ashley Azzardi of Connellsville; her beautiful great-grand daughter, Remington Grace Blackstone of Connellsville; special sisters-in-law (Helen, Kathy, and Winnie); close cousins (Ellen, Linda, and Marie); and numerous other loving cousins, nieces, nephews.
