Man charged in child porn case
A Connellsville man faces child porn charges after he allegedly used social media photos of an underage girl to put her face on pornographic images.
Christopher Scott Robinson, 36, of 404 E. Cedar St., faces four counts of sexual abuse of children, two counts of photographing, videotaping, depicting on a computer or filming sex acts and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.
Trooper Jay Hundertmark alleged that police initially investigated Robinson when his Internet address showed that he had downloaded pornographic images of a 2-year-old girl engaged in a sex act with a grown man.
Police ultimately searched Robinson’s phone, and he acknowledged having about 12 other files on his phone that had underage children, but said he deleted them, according to a complaint filed in the case.
When police searched his phone, however, they found pictures of Robinson and a grown woman engaged in sex acts, but the woman’s face had been replaced by a girl.
Police also found other images of Robinson alone, but in sexual poses.
“These images then appear to be used in conjunction with the other images to create new images of the defendant engaging in sexual acts with younger females,” Hundertmark wrote.
Police were able to identify the girl, and spoke to her about the images. The girl told police that the pictures came from her Facebook and possibly YouTube accounts.
Robinson is in Fayette County Prison, in lieu of $50,000 percentage bond set by Magisterial District Judge Ronald J. Haggerty Jr.
