Marie (Layne) Bendis
Marie (Layne) Bendis, age 66, of Uniontown, Pa. passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in the Uniontown Hospital with loving family by her side.
She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday, December 27, 2014.
Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend.
She touched the lives of many people with her smile, laugh, generosity and one-of-a-kind sense of humor.
She loved spoiling her grandchildren and furry friends, shopping, decorating for the holidays, gardening, and going to Bingo.
Preceding her in death were her parents, George Andrew Layne and Ladyi Layne; and three brothers, James Layne, George Layne Jr. and Michael Layne.
Marie will be greatly missed by her husband William ‘Bill’ Bendis Sr.; her beloved sons: Lee Layne and his girlfriend Leeana of Merrittstown, Pa., William Michael Bendis and his wife Jessica of Hastings, Pa., Michael Paul Bendis and his girlfriend Lindsay, and Richard Lee Bendis all of Uniontown, Pa.; her two grandchildren: Lilly Bendis and Liam Bendis; three brothers: Arthur Layne, John Layne and Jonathan Layne; five sisters: Arlene, Carol, Joyce, Roseanne and Susan; and countless family and friends blest to have her in their lives.
Friends will be received in the SHELL FUNERAL HOME INC. 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 9 to 11 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held with Rev. Father James W. Clark officiating.
Private interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery Beallsville, Pa.
The family requests memorial donations in lieu of other tokens of sympathy be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
