Margaret I. (Yourich) Krizner
Margaret I. (Yourich) Krizner, age 85 years, of Monarch, Fayette County Pa., passed away Monday October 6, 2014 in the Scottdale Manor, East Huntingdon Township.
She was born Tuesday, November 6, 1928 in Monarch, Fayette County Pennsylvania daughter of John Yourich and Helen (Coste) Yourich.
Margaret graduated from the former Dunbar Township High School with the Class of 1946.
Prior to her retirement she first had worked at the former Connellsville Sportswear for 14 years and then as the Cafeteria Supervisor at Pechin’s Market for 23 years.
Margaret was a Charter Member of the Monarch Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville, Pa.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert C. Krizner in 1994; one daughter, Lisa Krizner; her sisters, Mary Geary, Theresa Weil and Kay Keupp; and her brothers John Yourich, Steve Yourich, Walter Yourich.
Margaret is survived by her children: Melinda Lewandowski of Mount Pleasant, Pa., Robert Krizner and wife Jane of Allison Park, Pa., Larry Krizner and wife Phyllis of Roanoke, Virginia; her grandchildren: Stephanie Lewandowski, Patrick Lewandowski, Amanda Ruane and husband Chris, Abby Madia and husband Joe, Sam Krizner, Charles Krizner, and Juliana Krizner; her great granddaughter, Raygan Lewandowski; her special niece, Linda Sparks and her husband Chris; and her sisters: Josephine Grenaldo of Connellsville, Pa., and Pauline Zaffina of Mount Pleasant, Pa.; several nieces and nephews and their families.
The family would like to thank Margaret’s special neighbors, Anna and John Dunn and Judie Kosisko, and all her close neighbors. Also a special thanks to the Staff of Scottdale Manor for all of their wonderful care.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green St., Connellsville Pa. (724.628.1430) where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday, October 9, at 9:30 a.m.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 908 West Crawford Avenue, Connellsville, Pa with Rev. Father Robert T. Lubic as Celebrant.
A Committal Service and interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery.
