Charges refiled against Uniontown woman in alleged robbery
Charges were filed, again, against a Uniontown woman who was an alleged accomplice in a robbery and kidnapping in January.
Misty Dawn Danko, 34, initially told police that she was kidnapped and forced to comply with three men — Keith Arnold Johnson, 23, of Brownsville, Bernard Lewis Richardson III, 28, of Uniontown and Broderick Dewayne Harris, 28, of Uniontown — who were also charged in an alleged robbery in Masontown, according to court papers.
She reportedly later told police that she planned and initiated a Jan. 14 assault and robbery at a home on North Water Street, police allege. She now faces 38 charges, including terroristic threats, unlawful restraint and aggravated assault.
Johnson, Richardson and Harris allegedly assaulted Ronald Packroni, his brother Jonathan, Jonathan Byers and a small child, according to police.
Danko was initially charged in the matter in February. At a preliminary hearing in March, she agreed to waive charges of burglary, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit each: robbery, burglary, theft and criminal trespass. Eleven other charges, including conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit kidnapping and conspiracy to commit unlawful restraint, were withdrawn.
Danko was supposed to have cooperated with prosecutors in the case, but did not, prompting the charges to be refiled, said Masontown police Chief Joe Ryan.
The charges were refiled Thursday before Magisterial District Judge Randy Abraham. A docket in the case lists the warrant for Danko’s arrest as unserved. A preliminary hearing date has not yet been set.
