1 min read

Greene County 911 said no one was hurt when a water truck crossing Pollocks Mill Bridge caused part of the bridge to collapse on Sunday when it got stuck.

Greene 911 said the accident was reported around 3:37 p.m. as the truck was crossing the bridge across Ten Mile Creek in Jefferson Township.

State police said no one was hurt by the accident. Traffic was blocked on Mahle Road in both directions leading to the bridge.

According to historicbridges.org, the metal truss bridge was built in 1878 and has a four ton weight limit atop its wooden platform.

Greene 911 said police were assisted by Jefferson and Clarksville volunteer fire departments.
