Dennis Hawk, age 73, of Waynesburg, Pa., and formerly of Greensboro, Pa., died as 12:50 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa., after a lengthy illness.

He was born on Wednesday, October 22, 1941 in Greensboro, Pa., son of Fulton Hawk and Dorris E. (Cannon) Hawk

Mr. Hawk resided in Greensboro most of his life where he was a longtime member of the Greensboro-Monongahela Township Volunteer Fire Company.

He retired as an escort driver for Interstate Flag Car Service in the mid 1990’s.

Mr. Hawk enjoyed coin collecting and fishing.

He was a very loving husband, father and brother and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis (Halbert) Hawk; two sons: Robert ‘Bubba’ Hawk and his wife Jennifer, Greensboro, Pa., and Tim Hawk and his companion Brandie Mrenak of Canonsburg, Pa.; six grandchildren: Kylee Hawk, Lily Hawk, Jayden Hawk, Maddix Hawk, Jocelyn Africa and Braden Africa; two brothers: David A. Hawk of Greensboro, Pa., and Russell N. Hawk of Masontown, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday in YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME (724.966.5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa., where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m Pastor Jeff Hughes will officiate.

Interment will follow at the Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown Pa
