Ruth E. (Alden) Dudics

Ruth E. (Alden) Dudics of Uniontown, Pa., and formerly of Confluence, Pa., passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the age of 90.

She was born on Saturday, July 12, 1924 in Wilkinsburg, Pa., a daughter of George Raymond Alden and Sara Alden.

Ruth served in the Coast Guard as a Spar during World War II.

She worked for the Federal Reserve Banking Service.

Ruth was a Committeewoman for Henry Clay Township.

She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and housewife.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Edward Dudics; three brothers, Paul Alden, Elmer Alden, John Alden three sisters, Eleanor Alden, Sara ‘Sally’ Hyde and Marie Ann Alden.

Surviving are her two sons: Kenneth E. Dudics and his wife Karen of Carmichaels, Pa., and Robert A. Dudics and his wife Doborah of Greenville, Pa.; six grandchildren: Patrick Dudics, Geoffrey Dudics, Meredith Dudics Jones, Dominick Giagnocavo, Aron Giagnocavo and Stephanie Dudics; and nine great grandchildren. She was loved by all!

Friends will be received in DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, Pa., Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 8, from 10 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service.

Interment will be in the Johnson Chapel Cemetery, Route 281, Confluence, Pa.

The family requests memorials be made in her name to American Cancer Society, Western Region, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
