Steven M. R. Hollingworth

Steven M. R. Hollingworth, age 57, of Waynesburg, Pa., and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Rolling Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Waynesburg.
He was born Saturday November 2, 1957 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania son of Chauncey Murray L. Hollingworth and Ona Bell (Jackson) Hollingworth.
Steven graduated from Uniontown Area High School on Sunday, June 19, 1977.
He was a Baptist.
Mr. Hollingworth served with the United States Army in Fort Dix, New Jersey Germany and Colorado.
He worked as a Correctional Officer at SCI Greene since it opened. Prior to working there, he worked at SCI Smithfield for a total of 21 years as a Correctional Officer.
Mr. Hollingworth was a member of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees at SCI Greene.
He enjoyed doing yard work, working with electronics and computers and spending time with his family.
On Wednesday, April 26, 2000, he married Mary Regina ‘Gina’ Schmidt, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jacob Paul Sethner of Waynesburg, Pa.; a daughter, Hannah Elizabeth Sethner of Waynesburg, Pa.; brother Nathaniel Jackson and his wife Triss, Knoxville, Tennessee; three sisters: Linda Glenn of Syracuse, New York, Teresa Andrus and her fiancé Sam Harding of Uniontown, Pa., and Alice Hollingworth of Washington, D.C.; and a multitude nieces and nephews, many of whom he helped raise; great nieces; great nephews.
Deceased are three brothers, Edgar John Hollingworth, Chauncey M. L. Hollingworth and Alfred B. Hollingworth sister, Betty Katherine Hollingworth; parents.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME (724.966.5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa., where Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Pastor H. David McElroy will officiate.
Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park with Military Rites and Honors accorded by the Carmichaels Honor Guard and the United States Army.
