Police still searching for clues from fatal accident

State police are still searching for information related to a hit-and-run accident that left a Connellsville woman dead in March 2014 in Westmoreland County.
State police said Siva Marie Stewart, 22, was killed March 31 when she was hit by a vehicle, possibly a tractor-trailer truck, as she was standing along Interstate 70 in Westmoreland County after a wrong-way accident.
Authorities are still looking for the driver of the rig, who they said fled the scene.
Police said witnesses described the unknown vehicle as a white, new-looking tractor-trailer.
Police said that vehicle would have some damage and/or evidence of striking a body and Stewart’s vehicle on the driver’s side, likely to the front cab portion of the truck.
Michael P. Brazzon, 40, was driving west in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near the Smithton off-ramp in South Huntingdon Township when his vehicle hit another head on that was driven by Hyung Ryul Mun, 47, of Lincolnwood, Ill, police said.
Stewart was a passenger in Brazzon’s vehicle, police said, and got out of his car after the 2:10 a.m. accident.
When Stewart got out of the vehicle, she was then struck by another vehicle, which also collided slightly with the vehicle she was in, police said.
Police said Mun and the four people in Mun’s vehicle suffered injuries, but were expected to recover. The passengers were not identified by police.
Anyone with information concerning this collision or anyone who may have witnessed the crash is being asked to call police at 724-929-6262 or Fayette County Crime Stoppers at 888-404-TIPS (8477).
