Ronald F. Brumley
Ronald F. Brumley, 68, of Greensboro, Pa., died as the result of complications from pneumonia at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 surrounded by his family at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W. Va.
He was born on September 18, 1946 in Waynesburg, Pa., a son of the late Coleman and Hilda (Haney) Brumley.
Mr. Brumley was a 1965 graduate of Mapletown High School and completed a three year apprenticeship in 1970 to become a proud journeyman for Local 667 of the International Brotherhood of Boiler-makers,Charleston, W. Va. until his retirement in 2006.
Mr. Brumley attended Mapletown United Methodist Church.
Ron was never a “sit-down” type of person, but was always doing some kind of work. He loved hunting with his boys, being outdoors and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ron also enjoyed “tinkering” with anything mechanical.
On January 2, 1965, he married his one and only high school sweetheart, Linda Wilson, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronnie Brumley and his wife, Cassy of Carmichaels, Pa. and Greg Brumley and his wife, Brandi of Waynes-burg, Pa.; a daughter, Sherry Swartz and her husband, Brian of Carmichaels; seven grandchildren: Tyler Brumley, Brooke Brumley, Mattison Brumley, Gracelynn Brumley, Gabriella Brumley, Casey Swartz and Lucas Swartz; a sister, Lucy L. Brumley of Greensboro and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents are a sister, Dolores “Sally” Fiala and a brother, Lewis “Skip” Brumley.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.. on Thursday in the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 with the Rev. John W. Hodge officiating.
