Houston Edward Belski
Houston Edward Belski, age 70, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away suddenly Friday morning, July 31, 2015 in his home.
He was born on Monday, June 18, 1945 in Coal Center, Pa., the son of William Belski and Mary (Simala) Belski.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Vincent “Babe” Belski; and sister, Elaine Rable.
Houston was a member of Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church.
He was a 1964 graduate of California Area High School.
He worked for over 40 years as a Railroad Engineer.
He loved to hunt and truly enjoyed his time at his special hunting grounds in Ohio.
He also enjoyed fishing and golfing.
He was a good man, with a kind, gentle soul.
He loved his wife, children, and grand children unconditionally and with all his heart.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Mary Louise (Rivas) Belski; loving children: William Houston Belski of Birmingham, Alabama Rebecca Joann Belski and husband Brad Scott, Uniontown, Pennsylvania and Houston Adam Belski and wife Nicole of Uniontown, Pennsylvania loving grandchildren: Houston Joseph Belski, Anna Claire Belski, Isabella Rose Scott and Hudson Montgomery Scott; brother and sisters Mary Ann Hill and her husband Robert of Maryland, Christine Knarr and her husband Eugene of Maryland and Joseph Slusarczyk and wife Karen of Maryland; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Stanley and Alvera Mateosky; several loving nieces and nephews; his best hunting buddy, Michael Frazier; and his loyal companion and guard dog, Laney, who laid with him to the end. Although Laney was small in stature, her love for him was gigantic.
Friends will be received in KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today, Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Monday morning until 9:15 a.m. when parting prayers will be said.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael W. Matusak, V.F., Pastor, as the Celebrant.
Interment follows in Mount Calvary Cemetery California, Pa.
Parish Wake Service will be held in funeral home today at 3:00 p.m.
