A Uniontown woman is being held at the Fayette County Prison after failing to post bond on charges of arson, risking a catastrophe and other charges related to a fire at Pershing Court last week.

Jazmine Robinson, 25, of Uniontown is being held in lieu of $25,000 straight cash bond after allegedly setting bags of trash on fire on the back porch of 84 Pershing Court.

The apartment is occupied by Tashia Kellam and her children, ages 6 and 4. All three were inside the apartment when the fire was started July 28 shortly before noon.

Kellam and her neighbor extinguished the fire, which damaged the porch, back door and yard, police said.

Witnesses told police they saw Robinson run from the porch and into another apartment and then they noticed the fire on the porch.

In addition to the charges of arson and risking a catastrophe, Robinson also faces disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and three counts of recklessly endangering another person.

She faces a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Metros Aug. 18 at 1 p.m.
