Betty Jane Fosbrink Scander
Betty Jane (Fosbrink) Scander, 84 of Rowes Run, Pa. passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Laurel Ridge Center, Uniontown, Pa.
She was born on December 1, 1930 to John Herman Fosbrink Jr. and Mamie Younkin Fosbrink.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Griffith Acklin, her sisters: Beulah Srednicki and Marie K. Fisher and brothers: William H. Fosbrink, John H. Fosbrink III and Howard Fosbrink.
Surviving are her sister, Alberta Wilson; Betty’s children: B. Wayne Mickey Jr. and wife Anne, Anderson, South Carolina, David Mickey and wife Wendy, Uniontown, Pa., Greg Mickey and wife Marilyn, Rowes Run, Pa., Randy Wishard and wife Pam, Hephzibah, Georgia and Christy Wishard, Carmichaels, Pa.; grandchildren: Lora Thompson and husband Gary, Natalie Ginn, Celena Valentine and husband Ray, Craig Mickey and wife Christina, Joy Hertlein and husband Josh, Tabitha McWorther and husband Greg, Brandon Wishard and wife Carli, Jonathan Zack, Philip Zack and girl friend Taylor and Nathan Zack; great grandchildren: Jimmy, Marissa, Josh, Ben, Samera, Khristan, Joel, Hannah, Isaac, Noah, Madison, Kadance, Cameron and Collin and many nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Friday, August 28, 2015 until 10:00 a.m. the hour of service with Rev. Peter Malik officiating.
Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Smock, Pa.
