Richard R. Janesko Sr.
Richard R. Janesko Sr., age 83, of Smithfield, Pa. passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 29, 2015 with his loving family by his side
He was born Thursday, December 17, 1931 in Collier, Fayette County, Pa., a son of John Janesko and Anna (Karinshak) Janesko.
He loved hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons.
He had a lifelong love of baseball and enjoyed playing the game watching his sons and his grandsons play, and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
Richard was a very committed worker and provider and for 29 years he was employed with Rockwell International, Uniontown, Pennsylvania until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Edward Janesko, John Janesko and Eugene Janesko; his sisters, Marie Bethel and Valeria Harmon; and his sons-in-law, Robert Quarrick and Henry L. Molinaro, who were like his own sons (both recently passed away in April 2015).
Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Dorothy (Krichbaum) Janesko; his four sons: Richard Janesko and wife Lisa, Brian Janesko and wife Janet, John Janesko and wife Jill, and David Janesko and wife Lori; and daughters: Karen DeSanto and husband Ray, Judith Quarrick, and Cynthia Molinaro; also cherishing his memory are his grandchildren: Bethany, Michael, Miranda, Rick, Robert, Jason, Emily, Francesca, Max, Nick, Dan, Johnny; and great grandchildren: Katelyn, Ryan and Jordan.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
