Uniontown man charged with rape, burglary
A 19-year-old Uniontown man was arrested on rape and burglary charges after he allegedly broke into a woman’s house and assaulted her Sunday.
Darian Harris allegedly went to a Uniontown house and knocked on the door where the alleged victim was sleeping at about 3:30 a.m., according to an affidavit of probable cause.
She told police she answered the door, thinking it was her uncle. She opened the door and saw Harris, she said.
The Herald-Standard does not identify alleged victims of rape.
She said he came into her house, grabbed her by the hair and threatened her. He allegedly said he would hit her if she did not have sex with him and told her he would “make her face bleed” unless she called him “Daddy,” according to the affidavit.
She said she told him to stop four times. He allegedly grabbed her by the hair, threw her on the bed and raped her.
She allegedly escaped him briefly and saw him urinating on her floor. He left through the front door, and she ran out the back door, she said.
She called Uniontown police to report the alleged rape. Officers took her to Uniontown Hospital for a rape kit.
Police collected evidence from the house.
Harris is facing charges of burglary, two counts of rape, and three counts each of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault, according to court documents.
He was arraigned Sunday before Magisterial District Judge Wendy Dennis. Harris is held in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
