Betty P. (Kier) Martin
Betty P. (Kifer) Martin age 86, Uniontown, Pa., passed away, Sunday, November 29, 2015 in the Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, Virginia surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Friday, March 22, 1929 in Superior, Pa., a daughter of Anna (Shaffer) Kifer and Clyde Kifer.
Betty was a member and Life Deacon of Central Christian Church, Uniontown, Pa.
Throughout her life Betty worked as a Seamstress, but above all, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother devoted to her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Thomas E. Martin in September of 2013; brothers, Cecil Kifer, George Kifer, and Frank Kifer; and sisters, Carrie Martin, Virginia DeRosa, Janet Gawczynski, and Louise Cornish.
Left to cherish her memory are her eleven children: Thomas Martin and his wife Joann, Terry Martin and his wife Linda, Richard Martin and his wife Ann, Robert Martin and his wife Verna, Yvonne Crayton and her husband Earl, Joyce Fiesta and her husband William, Larry Martin and his wife Karen, Pamela Hudson and her husband Richard, Kimberly Goodwin and her husband William, John Martin and his wife Rachelle, and Deidra Grimm and her husband James; twenty-six grand children: Tommy, Gina, Christopher, Heather, Christina, Jennifer, Amy, Bobby, Reyna, George, Mercedes, Ricky, Tiffany, J.J., Colby, Jeremy, Larry, Tatum, Carrie, Richard, Matthew, Rachel, Renee, Cody, Cory, Chelsea and their spouses; forty great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loving sister, Clara Pento.
Friends will be received in STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown Pa., today, Friday, December 4, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Additional visitation will be held Saturday, December 5, from 9 until 11 a.m. at CENTRAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 23 South Gallatin Avenue Uniontown. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday with the Reverend Heather Simpson and Reverend Dr. Darwin Collins officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa
