William J. Hubbard
William J. Hubbard, age 87 of Uniontown, Pa. passed way Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Mount Saint Macrina.
He was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on May 26, 1928, a son of the now late William J. Hubbard, Sr. and Rita C. Walsh Hubbard.
William was first a resident of Waterbury, Connecticut and later of Prospect, Connecticut.
He graduated from Crosby High School with the class of 1946.
He entered the United States Army Air Force in 1946.
Bill visited many parts of the world thanks to the now United States Air Force, including the Philippine Islands, Marshall Islands, Hawaiian Islands, Wake Island, Guam, Korea, Japan, Africa and Great Britain.
He was stationed in Texas, Colorado, California and New York.
He worked at Sperry-Univac as a manager /computer technician.
Bill was a member of Kiwanis Club of Uniontown, where he was a past president, Elks Lodge of Uniontown, St. Andrew’s Society of Pittsburgh, Pa., ASPCA, Humane SOCIETY U.S., the Retired Enlisted Association, National Rifle Association, Fayette County Republican Committee, Life Member Republican National Committee, Kiwanis Club of Sunland – Tujunga, Calif. where he was a Past President and Sunland Elks Lodge of California, Past Exalted Ruler.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by former wives, Marie (Loughran) Hubbard and Linda (Goodwin) Hubbard and children, Mark Antony Hubbard, Kimberly Ann Eubank and Robyn Louise Hubbard.
Left to cherish Bill’s memory are his stepson, William Waddell of Uniontown, Pa., with whom he made his home; son William Hubbard and grandsons: Bryce Eubank, Brian Hubbard and Ian Hubbard of Los Angeles, California area; his sister-in-law, Barbara Keefer and husband Anthony Keefer of Connellsville, Pa.; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Brown of La Mesa, California.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa. where the family will receive friends on Sunday, December 6, 2015 from Noon until 2 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 until 11 a.m., followed by a service celebrating Bill’s life at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ronald M. Maust officiating.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of other memorial tokens, donations may be made to the Uniontown Kiwanis Club.
