Madelyn Ann (Spurio) Crick, age 90, of Masontown, Pa., passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at Monongalia Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.

Madelyn was born in Masontown, Pa., on Wednesday, March 11, 1925 a beloved daughter of Martin Spurio and Rosina (Avenia) Spurio.

She was employed for over 14 years as a Cafeteria Worker in the Albert Gallatin Area School District.

She was a member of All Saints Christian Mothers and also the Italian Ladies Circle, a Lifetime Member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, and a Lifetime member and former President of the Pal’s Lady Auxiliary.

Madelyn was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Edward C. Crick; brothers, Peter John Spurio and Amerigo Spurio; sister, Jean Wood; nephews, Peter John Spurio Jr. and Robert Dindl; and niece, Rosina Ferranti.

She is survived by her sisters: Nancy Ferranti and Antoinette Curtis; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Ave., Masontown, Pa., Tuesday, December 8, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held in Funeral Home Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Saint Francis of Assisi Parish Church, 101 West Church Avenue, Masontown, with Rev. Father William G. Berkey as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Saint Agnes Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.

Tuesday in Funeral Home: Pal’s Ladies Auxiliary Service at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Rosary at 6:30 p.m.
