Frank Donald Urchasko
Frank Donald Urchasko, age 83, of Greencastle, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Hendricks Regional Health, Danville, Indiana
He was born on Wednesday, August 10, 1932 in Masontown, Pennsylvania a son of Julia (Wallace) Urchasko and Frank Urchasko.
Frank was a former member of The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Saint Mary Russian Orthodox Church in Masontown Pennsylvania
He graduated from the old German Township High School on College Avenue, McClellandtown Pennsylvania and attended West Virginia University, Morgantown.
Frank served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He served with the 45th Oklahoma National Guard and with the 7th Division where he served in Combat.
Frank retired from CPC International, Argo, Illinois.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1752 and the American Legion Post No. 48 both in Rockville, Indiana.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Robert Urchasko
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 58 years, Rita (Sillett) Urchasko of Greencastle, Indiana; his daughter, Dawn Urchasko, Williamstown, West Virginia; his sister, Darlene Fox and her husband John of Long Pond, Pa.; and sister-in-law, Charlotte Forsyth.
Friends will be received in STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown Pa., on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. the hour of service with The Very Reverend Father Theodore Shomsky officiating.
Immediately following the Service on Sunday, Military Honors will be accorded at the Funeral Home by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8543 and the Vietnam Veterans of Fayette County.
Private Mausoleum entombment will be held Monday, December 14, 2015 in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa
