Dr. Gary B. Keefer, Chancellor of Penn State Beaver Campus

Dr. Gary B. Keefer, age 63, of Chippewa Township, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Omaha, Nebraska, Morgantown, West Virginia and Hopwood, Pennsylvania where he was raised, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015.
He was born on Wednesday, June 25, 1952 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania a son of James Keefer and Elinor Jean (Herring) Keefer.
Dr. Keefer was the Chancellor of Penn State, Beaver Campus, and a former Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Nebraska.
He was a member of CUP Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
He was also a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
As a hobby, he was a private pilot of Gliders and Single Engine Planes and an avid golfer.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Paula (Fisher) Keefer; two sons and daughters-in-law: Brian and Pattie Kim-Keefer of Bryn Mawr, Pa., and Aaron and Christina Keefer of Enon Valley, Pa.; a brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Suzanne Keefer of Fort Hill, Pa.; a father-in-law, Raymond E. Fisher of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and a loving and caring extended family of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Helen Emogene (Eisentrout) Fisher.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 15, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 (724.843.1200).
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 16, at 11 a.m. in CUP EVANGELICAL P R E S B Y T E R I A N C H U R C H, 530 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010. Pastor Scott E. W. Graham will officiate.
