By The 1 min read

A man was charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly put another man’s head through a wall.

Shelby Lynn Salisbury, 23, of Masontown told state police his father-in-law, Barry Ware, intervened in an argument between Salisbury and Ware’s wife at a Bute Road home in North Union Township Thursday.

Police said Ware had a broken nose, severely swollen eye and lacerations on his face. He told police Salisbury was arguing with his daughter and put his head through the wall and punched him in the face.

Ware was evaluated on the scene by Fayette EMS, who determined he may have a severe injury that required further treatment at Uniontown Hospital.

Police said Salisbury was visibly intoxicated.

He is facing charges of aggravated assault, criminal mischief and simple assault, according to court documents.

Documents show he was arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr. early Friday.

He is in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
