May Marlene (Brewer) Hartman
May Marlene (Brewer) Hartman, age 83, of Georges Township, Smithfield, Pa., passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015.
She was born on Friday, August 12, 1932 in Morgantown, West Virginia, the daughter of Fred L. Brewer and Lucy Fern (Webster) Brewer.
Marlene worked for many years at General Electric in Cleveland, Ohio and then when she moved back here to Pennsylvania, she was employed at Lake View in Cheat Lake, West Virginia for many years until she retired.
Her parents; husband of 64 years, Charles E. ‘June’ Hartman; and brother, Willis Brewer preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son, Charles E. Hartman Jr. and wife Pamela of Fairmont, West Virginia; two grandchildren: Christopher E. Hartman and wife Damee and Kathleen ‘Katie’ Hartman; great grand daughter, Sophee Louise May Hartman; siblings: Marcine Stefancin and family of Chesterland, Ohio, Richard and Jenny Brewer and family of Mentor, Ohio and John and Janice Brewer and family of Eastlake, Ohio; brother-in-law, George Hartman Sr. and family; sister-in-law, Lula Dice and family; other loving nieces, nephews and cousins; very close friend, Carol Porupski and her husband George; and her extended family and friends of the Haydentown Christian Church and Haydentown Community Center.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday, December 21, 2015 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of the Service with Pastor Jim Handschumaker officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa
