A Connellsville man is accused of breaking into a woman’s house while she was sleeping and beating her.

Todd Hennessey, 45, of Connellsville is facing aggravated assault and other charges from the alleged incident Dec. 20, according to court documents.

Hennessey allegedly broke into the house on South Street in Connellsville. The front door was locked and secured with a board, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

The alleged victim, Toni Halfhill, told police she was sleeping when he broke in and started punching her in the face. She told police she may have blacked out.

The woman’s mother, Nancy Fritsky, told police she was home at the time and heard her screaming for help. She said she then saw Hennessey run down the steps and out the front door, according to the affidavit.

Police said Halfhill had missing teeth, cuts on her face and swelling around her orbital bone. EMS advised her to seek treatment for her injuries.

Halfhill said this is not the first time Hennessey has entered her house without permission.

He is facing charges of aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespass and simple assault, according to court documents.

He is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
