Phillip M. “Phil” Amber
Phillip M. Amber, age 71, Lemont Furnace, Pa., husband of Susan Amber, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital after a long battle with Crohn’s disease.
He was born on Tuesday, May 16, 1944 in Uniontown, Pa., son of Edward B. and Florence Amber.
Phillip was a faithful member of the St. Peter Parish, Uniontown, Pa.
He graduated from Uniontown High School, Class of 1962.
He was previous partner in Amber’s Jewelry Store in Uniontown, Pa.
He had been employed at Malsbary Manufacturing and was a Salesman with Alkota Industrial Steam Cleaners for many years.
Phil was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan and enjoyed participating in Classic Car Shows.
He was predeceased by his parents; and by a brother, Gordon Amber in 2009.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years Susan Amber; a brother, Arnold Amber and his wife Cindy of Hopwood, Pa.; a sister, Michelle Amber Kline and her husband Larry of Alexandria, Virginia; his sister-in-law, Carmella Amber of Hopwood, Pa.; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dave and Lana Miller of Lemont Furnace, Pa.; several very special nephews and nieces; very special great nephew and great niece; and special friends.
Friends were received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, Pa., on Wednesday December 23, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Friends will be received in ST. PETER’S P A R R I S H, 60 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., today from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of the Service with Rev. John T. Cruikshank officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Sylvan Heights Cemetery
