Homicide charges filed in 1981 cold case

Charges were filed today in the 1981 homicide case of Charles “Mississippi” Johnson, who was killed in Dunbar Township.

David Eugene Lint, 61, of Uniontown, allegedly confessed the murder to several people, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Lint allegedly said he killed Johnson because he physically hurt Lint’s sister-in-law, according to the affidavit.

Lint allegedly killed Johnson at a trailer in the village of Adelaide. He allegedly shot him in the head with .30/-30 rifle and buried the body in a burn hole near the trailer.

He is charged with criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
