High winds overnight caused power and service outages to residents along Buttermilk Lane and Walnut Avenue in Hopwood. According to Fayette County Emergency officials, 105 calls were received between midnight and 7 a.m. for downed trees and power lines.

High winds overnight caused two pine trees at this Menallen Township home, located along Route 40, to topple over, bringing down with it electrical wires that supplied electricity to two outbuildings.
