Hazel Almetta (Conn) Becker

Hazel Almetta (Conn) Becker, age 76, Dawson, Lower Tyrone Township, Pa., passed away at 7:01 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at her residence.
Hazel was born on Monday, February 6, 1939 near Dawson in Lower Tyrone Township, Pa., daughter of Emerson Conn and Ruth (Oldland) Conn.
She was married to William L. Becker. He passed away on Sunday, October 17, 1982.
Hazel was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister
She was employed for many years as an Advertising Sales Associate for the Daily Courier, Connellsville Pa
She was a member of the Tyrone Presbyterian Church.
She graduated from Perry Township High School, Class of 1957.
She enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Hazel will be sadly missed by her loving family — four daughters: Linda (Becker) McElfresh and her husband John of Perryopolis, Pa., Beverly (Becker) Butler and her husband Douglas of Dawson, Pa., Cindy (Becker) Morris and her husband Wayne of Vanderbilt, Pa., Betty Jo (Becker) Sump and her husband William of Ledbetter, Texas; her five grandchildren: Robert Johnston and his wife Sharon, David Evon, Shane Gilmore and his wife Reena, Jessica Butler, and April Morris; her four great grand children Alyssa Johnston Mia Johnston, Hailey Hayden, Brandi Hayden; her brother, Richard Conn of Dawson, Pa.; her sister, Lucille (Conn) Leonard of Dawson, Pa.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Irene Conn.

Family and friends will be received on FRIDAY, JANUARY 1, 2016 from Noon to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, January 2, 2016 in the Funeral Home Chapel from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. where the Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Pastor Jack Lucas will officiate.
Graveside Committal Service and interment will follow in Cochran Cemetery next to her late husband.
