Kerrie G. Gill Sr.
Kerrie G. Gill Sr., age 80, of Centerville, Pa., died on Tuesday, December 29, 2015.
He was born on Wednesday May 15, 1935 in Vesta No. 6, Pa., the son of Leonard Gill and Lillian (Knisley) Gill.
He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member and three term Commander of the American Legion Post 377 in California, Pa. Kerrie topped off his career as Pennsylvania American Legion Department Commander from 2011 to 2012, the highest office in the state wartime veterans’ organization that includes more than 800 posts.
He received a Bachelors Degree and a Master’s Degree in Business from California U n i v e r s i t y o f Pennsylvania.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Lillian J. (Jeanne) Gill; sisters, Linda Zirkle, Brenda Pepper and Lillian Loughner; and brother, Kay Gill.
Kerrie was dearly loved by his family and will be sadly missed.
He is survived by two children: Kerrie G. Gill Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Natalie Hagyari and husband Edward of Centerville, Pa.; grand daughter, Kaylee Jeanne Neil-Hagyari; and sister, Carol Rhome.
Private Services were under the direction of the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa.
