Josephine “Josie” (Pradella) Rebottini

Josephine ‘Josie’ (Pradella) Rebottini, age 89, life-long resident of Star Junction, Pennsylvania passed away Friday, the 30th of January 2015 at home.
Born on Thursday, August 13th, 1925 to Emma (Bianco) Pradella and Peter Pradella, Josephine was a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and home maker.
Josephine loved cooking Italian food for her family and friends.
She also loved caring for her cats, Baby, Blackie and Pumpkin.
She was a parishioner of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Perryopolis, Pa., and a Charter Member of The Sons and Daughters of Italy No. 1914 Stella Romane Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Artilio ‘Theo’ Rebottini; her parents; and siblings, Albert, Bruno and wife Irene, Phil and husband Amelio Persello, Thresia and husband Joe Jyachosky, and Roy Giovannelli.
She is survived by her children: Thomas Rebottini and wife Linda of Perryopolis, Pa., and Emma and husband Harold West of Star Junction, Pa.; grand children: Nichol, Eric, Christopher and wife Leigh Ann, Alma, and Theo and wife Francesca; in addition to four great grandchildren.
Josephine’s grand children brought her great joy to her later years.
Family and friends will be received in BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 until 10:00 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 3332 Pittsburgh Road, Perryopolis, Pa., with Rev. Father Anthony W. Ditto as the Celebrant.
Interment will be in Saint John the Baptist Cemetery, Perryopolis.
