Lloyd R. “Teeter” Rockwell Sr.
Lloyd R. Rockwell Sr., age 75, of Uniontown, Pa. passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born on Wednesday March 22, 1939 the son of Elmer A. Rockwell Sr. and Clara (Beckus) Rockwell in Uniontown, Pennsylvania
Lloyd graduated from Masontown High School with the class of 1957.
He was a Semi-Truck Driver for 48 years and a member of the Western Pennsylvania Teamsters Local 800.
Lloyd was a United States Army Veteran and a Life Member of the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood, Pennsylvania and the American Legion Post 51
He attended Calvary United Methodist Church
‘Pap’s’ greatest joy was when his grandchildren and great-grandchildren visited!
He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Elmer Allan Rockwell Jr.’ mother-in-law, Lillian Hixon; and brother-in-law, Charles A. Hixon Jr.
Left to cherish Lloyd’s memory are his wife of over 50 years, Ada (Hixon) Rockwell; and the following children: Colleen Rockwell Smitley and spouse Thomas; Brenda Rockwell Campbell and spouse Gary, Lloyd Rockwell Jr. and spouse Tracy, and Randolph Rockwell; Grandchildren: Ryan Kennedy, Christine Campbell Martin and husband Noah, Shannon Smitley, Alexandrea Kennedy, Melissa Campbell, Aaron Smitley Jessica Rockwell, Tristan Miele and Max Rockwell; Great-Grandchildren: Virginia Martin and Titus Martin. Also surviving are two sisters: Carol Cunningham of Warren, Ohio and Janice Ingram, Masontown, Pa.; his father-in-law, Charles A. Hixon of Uniontown, Pa.; an aunt, Lorain Poremba of Uniontown, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. where visitation will continue on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 10 until 11 a.m., followed by a Service Celebrating Lloyd’s life at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Keith Lohr officiating.
Interment will be private.
