Joseph Edward “Joey” “Joe” Glad
Joseph Edward Glad, age 54, of Grindstone, Pa. passed away at home on Saturday, February 7, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on Thursday, August 11, 1960 in Uniontown, Pa., to Joseph D. Glad and Joyce (Carrick) Glad of Grindstone, Pa.
Joe was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Republic, Pennsylvania.
His hobbies were hunting and fishing (he was a member of the Fairbank Rod & Gun Club), bowling, dart ball, and playing the piano and the accordion.
Joe is survived by his parents; loving fianceé, Terri Mills; three sisters: Carole Whetzel and her husband William A. Whetzel of Allison, Pa., Mary Beth Elliott and husband Jay Elliott of New Salem, Pa., and Susan Walsh, Hibbs, Pa.; brother-in-law, Edward Walsh of Allison, Pa.; nieces and nephews: Alaina Whetzel, Jordan and Sarah Whetzel, Jacob Walsh, Samantha Walsh and Gary Brundege, Molly Walsh and Jelena Chaney; great niece and great nephews: Kiley, Dylan and Gavyn Brundege.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, John Carrick and Eleanor (Burrie) Carrick and John Glad and Mary (Bellan) Glad.
He will be missed by his beloved cat, Savannah.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI CHURCH, 101 West Church Ave., Masontown Pennsylvania with the Rev. Father William G. Berkey as the Celebrant.
Funeral arrangements are by the BERNARD M. TOWNSEND FUNERAL HOME, 220 South Main Street, Masontown, Pa.
