Gene L. Avera
Gene L. Avera, age 85, Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday February 9, 2015 in Land O’Lakes, Florida.
He was born Monday, November 18, 1929 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania a son of Lester Avera and Marguerita (Densmore) Avera.
Gene was a member of the Lemont Sportsmen’s Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Michael Avera.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Susan Bogden and her husband David; grand children: David Bogden and his wife Katie, and Eric Bogden; great grand sons: Owen Bogden and Luke Bogden; sisters: Patsy Hawkins and Marita Avera. Gene is also survived by his dear friend, Eleanor Huntley and her family.
Friends will be received in STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown Pa., on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, February 14, 2015 until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with Rev. Terence Teluch officiating
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa where Military Honors and Rites will be accorded by the North Union Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8543.
