SMITHFIELD

Wendell Lytle “Curly”, age 67, of Georges Township, Smithfield, Pa., passed away at home with his loving family caring for him Saturday, January 17, 2015.

He was born on Sunday October 12, 1947 at Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania the son of Lincoln Lytle and Evelyn (Hall) Lytle.

Wendell was a United States Army Vietnam War Veteran.

He attended Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Smithfield, Pennsylvania.

Wendell was the owner and operator for 37 years of University TV Service in Star City, West Virginia until retirement.

Then he delivered for Miller’s Flower Shop and Greenhouses for several years until his illness.

Wendell was the last surviving member of his parents’ immediate family. His parents, five sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Lycinda “Cindy” (Miller) Lytle; two daughters: Jennifer Searcy and husband Ryan of Uniontown, Pa., and Michelle Cartwright and husband Michael of Point Marion, Pa.; ten grandchildren: Alysia, Arian, Ashley, Addison, Cynthia, Mary Beth, Grace, Michael II, Connor and Xander; and brother-in-law, Darwin Miller and family of Smithfield, Pa.

The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of Service. Pastor Darrell Edgar will officiate.

Entombment will follow in The Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Sylvan Heights Cemetery Uniontown, Pennsylvania with Military Rites and Honors accorded by the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood, Pa.
