Lucille (Lombardo) Shaffer Pucher, age 81, of Long Beach, California passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 with her loving children by her side.
Lucille was born on Sunday, December 10, 1933 to Salvatore Lombardo and Catherine (Zack) Lombardo in Uniontown, Pennsylvania
Throughout the years she enjoyed dancing, bowling, golfing, flower gardening, cooking, and family gatherings.
She spent most of her retired winter years on the beach in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her now late husband, Roy Pucher, enjoying the company of friends; then spent her later years in Long Beach, California in the care of her loving daughter, Carla.
Lucille instilled a love of family, determination and courage of spirit in her two children.
They will continue to share her blessings with acts of goodwill for the community as they continue to do.
She will always be remembered for her unconditional love, generosity and exquisite sense of style and taste.
She was predeceased by her parents; husbands Thomas Shaffer and Roy Pucher; brother, George Lombardo; and sisters, Phylis Kovalcheck and Albina Lombardo.
She is survived by her loving children: Carla Benner and husband Mitch, Thomas Shaffer and wife Krista; and grandsons: Thomas ‘Trey’, Drake and Dane.
She is also survived by two siblings: Salvatore Lombardo Jr. and wife Barb, and Carmella Kordich; her devoted nieces: JoAnn Martin and husband Tom and Darlene Young and husband Jim; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
