Gregg S. Frank, age 49, of Pittsburgh, Pa., formerly of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015, at his home.

He was born on June 12, 1966, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Gay G. Murray of Uniontown and the late Morley J. Frank.

Gregg had many passions in his life: his love of Jesus and the church, his devotion to his family and friends, his dedication to his career, and his commitment to the American Diabetes Association (ADA).

With each passion, Gregg gave all he had in every aspect. He lived each day of his life to help others. For the church, he was “all in” for numerous projects from the Laundry Love Project, to the Food Drive, to the TGIF Dance for the Intellectually Disabled, and the Water Blast, just to name a few.

Gregg’s first love was Jesus, and he displayed that every day. For his career, he continued to focus on others.

He served as part of the Army Reserves in the 99th ARCOM. For 24 years, he enjoyed his work as a paramedic for the city of Pittsburgh; additionally, he held numerous other positions for the city of Pittsburgh–as an Honor Guard, as a Medic for the Cycle Unit, and as River Rescue Public Safety Driver.

For the past two years, he worked for Scalo Company as a Material Handler and Driver.

Gregg’s enthusiasm and energy was also shared with his family at the ADA where he was a dedicated member and volunteer. Gregg was a constant at every ADA event and function: he was a member of the Pinnacle Society; he attended the Call to Congress; he participated in the Tour de Cure; he served on a committee for the Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes; and he represented ADA in the community at a variety of health fairs and events.

In addition to being predeceased by his father, Morley, Gregg was also predeceased by his step-mother, Frances “Sis” Frank, and step-sister, DJ Brandee Bowen.

Gregg is survived by a loving family. In addition to his mother, Gay, he is survived by his siblings: Rick Frank and wife Lisa of Uniontown; David Frank and wife Gretchen of Fayston, Vermont; Wendy Gaither and husband Edwin of Uniontown; and step-brother Todd Rehanek and wife Rhonda of Carolina Beach, N.C.

He was a devoted uncle to his nieces Vanessa Frank and Sydnee Durbin and to his nephews: Dan Frank, Morgan Frank, Tucker Frank, and Aaron Gaither.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA.
