Charles Robert Anderson
Charles Robert Anderson, age 76, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born on Sunday, January 8, 1939 in New Salem, Pa., a son of Clyde Anderson and Beryl (Uphold) Anderson
He graduated from Uniontown High School, Class of 1958.
Charles was a veteran who served Honorably in the United States Navy.
He was a member of the New Salem Volunteer Fire department where he had served a term as Chief.
He was a long time volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of BPO Elks No. 370, Uniontown.
Charles worked as a Machinist with United States Steel Corporation at the Filbert Shop.
He was well known for his knowledge of carpentry and electrical work and helping others.
He was predeceased by his parents; and by a brother, Lloyd Anderson.
Surviving are his wife, Judy (Zsiros) Anderson; children: Rob Anderson and his wife Dana of Uniontown, Pa., and Amy Anderson and her fiance Rich Prough of Brownsville, Pa.; three grandchildren: Sidney Anderson, Ryan Anderson, and Avery Anderson; a brother, Thomas Anderson of Coatesville, Pa.; and a sister, Janet Maxwell of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Friends will be received in DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, Pa. Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11 a.m.
Interment follows in Pleasant View Cemetery, 610 Pleasant View Road, Smock, Pa.
