Margaret (Alexander) Botti
Margaret (Alexander) Botti, age 92, of Hopwood Pa., passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 in her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born on Friday June 29, 1923 in Monongah, West Virginia a daughter of Liberto Alexander and Adelina (Izzi) Alexander.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty seven years, Albert F. Botti; three brothers, Matthew Alexander, Joseph Alexander and Anthony Alexander; four sisters, Flora Caromano, Giovanna (Joan) Puglia, Philomena (Minnie) Capossere and Anastasia (Maxine) Vecchiotti.
Margaret graduated from Uniontown High School, class of 1942.
She was a dedicated member of Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed directing the men’s choir and the children’s choir for over 15 years while playing the organ.
Margaret also was a faithful member of the Altar Society, Uniontown Service League, and the Sweet Adelines.
She was a volunteer for the Girl Scouts.
Margaret was a former Queen of Hopwood for the National Pike Festival.
She devoted her life to family and music.
She is survived by her children: Albert J. Botti and wife Roberta of Hopwood, Pa., and Antoinette Botti and finance Charles Thomas of Somerset, Pa.; two granddaughters: Amy Hiles and husband Keith and Natalie DeHaas and husband Corey; two great grandchildren: Keith Hiles and Logan Hiles; a sister-in-law, Yolanda Saghy and husband Edward of Uniontown, Pa.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where the family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 21, from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. with Prayers of Transfer at 9:15 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, 61 Mill Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa
Parish Wake Service will be held in Funeral Home today at 3:00 p.m.
