Rosalee M. ‘Sis’ (Kolosky) Powell, age 72, Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015.
Rosalee was born on Saturday, October 10, 1942 in Oliver, Pa.
Rosalee married the love of her life Richard W. Powell of Brockway, Pennsylvania in July of 1966. The couple settled in Uniontown where they raised their four children Jodi, Richard Jr., Michael and Shawna.
Rosalee was a devoted and loving mother and wife. She was very proud of her family and was overjoyed when she became a ‘grandma’ to her 10 grandchildren.
Rosalee loved holidays and family get togethers. Any chance to spend time with her family was important to her!
Rosalee was best known for her kind and loving heart. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Rosalee was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Elizabeth Kolosky; and brothers Paul Kolosky and James Kolosky; and is survived by her sister, Debra (Kolosky) Fields of Uniontown, Pa.
She was the beloved wife of Richard W. Powell and the devoted mother of Jodi Butler and her husband Dan of Uniontown, Pa., Richard W. Powell Jr. and his wife Julie of Point Marion, Pa., Michael Powell and wife Carla of Uniontown, Pa., Shawna Powell – Earnie Jenkins of Uniontown, Pa
Rosalee was most proud of her grand children: Hayley and Drew McGettigan, Theresa, Sarah and Jeffrey Butler, Logan Spiker, Baylee Powell, Ryan, Klayton and Nathan Jenkins; several nieces and nephews.
Rosalee was an avid dancer in her younger years, once dancing on the Lawrence Welk Show
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority since 1962 and enjoyed her monthly card club meetings.
She was also co-owner of Paul’s Food Center and the Jailhouse Driving Range both on Morgantown Road, Route 119 South, in Uniontown.
Friends will be received in STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue, Extension, Uniontown Pa., today, July 23, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, July 24, 2015 until 11:00 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa
