Mary Ellentry Bandes, age 101, of Republic, Pa., passéd away Tuesday, November 3, 2013 in the Uniontown Hospital.

She was born October 14, 1914 in Derry, Pa., a daughter of John Ellentry and Marie (Capodaqua) Ellentry.

Mary was a member of the former Holy Rosary Church, Republic, Pa.

She was a state certified licensed beautician and had owned and operated a beauty shop in Republic, and she was a former employee of Republic Sportswear, where she served as shop steward.

Mary was preceded in death be her husband, Louis Bandes, a son, Jerome Louis Bandes in infancy, a sister, Filomena Ellentry, a brother, Charles ‘Lentry’ Ellentry, and her parents.

Surviving are her sons, Roger Bandes and wife, Jackie of Detroit, Michigan, and Bryan Bandes and fiancée, Patricia Ross, of Republic, Pa.; grandchildren: Sharon Beszczynski, Debra Fowlkes and husband, Randy, Maureen Fardell and husband, Keith, Colleen Bandes, Lisa Anker and husband, Sean, Gina Cellurale and husband, Terry, and Bryan Bandes and wife, Debbie; twelve great grandchildren, and a sister, Carolyn Pinchero of Detroit, Michigan.

The family wants to make special mention of the everlasting bond that will always remain between Mary and Donna Chew.

A special thank you is extended to Mary’s family at Laurel Ridge Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care given to her.

As Mary would say to everyone, ‘Never say goodbye; only say so-long, and stay beautiful.’

The family will receive friends in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, 19 Legion St. Republic, Pa., on Thursday, November 5, 2015, from Noon to 2:00 p.m., at which time a Blessing Service will be held.

Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Republic, Pa.
