Carmen Jordan
Carmen Jordan, age 89, of Connellsville, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2015 at Hillside Manor, Uniontown, Pa.
He was born on Saturday, April 24, 1926 in Connellsville, Pa., son of Joseph Jordan and Theresa Galderisi Jordan
Carmen was a member of Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church.
He was an active member of the American Legion Post 301 in Connellsville and the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood, Pa.
Before his retirement, Carmen was the last surviving brother of the Jordan Brothers Excavating Company, a staple of Connellsville business for 40 years.
At the top of his long list of pasttimes was tending to the Geraniums at Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church.
Carmen was predeceased by his parents; four sisters, Immaculate Jordan, Julia Renzi, Millie Jordan, and Mary Geyer; and six brothers, Raphael Jordan James Jordan, Joseph Jordan Jr., Daniel Jordan, Ralph Jordan, and Michael Jordan.
Carmen is survived by his sister, Bette Wohlgemuth, Uniontown, Pa.; niece, Linda (Jordan) Kolp and her husband Edward of Hopwood, Pa.; great nephew, Joseph Kolp of Hopwood, Pa.; great niece, Kaila Kolp and son Liam Smith of Cincinnati Ohio; niece, Monica Mitchell and husband Jason Mitchell and their sons Kole, Christian and Alexander of Brownfield, Pa.; and many more nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME 123 South First Street, West Side, Connellsville, PA 15425 724.628.9033 today from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, November 7, 2015 until 9:15 a.m when a Blessing Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church, 116 South Second Street, with Rev. Father Robert T. Lubic as the Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Rita Cemetery where Military Services will be accorded by the members of American Legion Posts 301 and 762 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 21.
